1. What’s Your Name and URL: My name is Duane Hosein and you can find me at www.duanehosein.com 2. When did you start blogging? What drove you in the direction or fine arts?: I became addicted to the whole concept of “online journaling” after joining Livejournal in the 90’s. At the height of my addiction, I had three separate journals. As far as starting an actual blog, it’s been almost two years. My first attempt was on Blogger, but I recently switched to WordPress. Ever since I could hold a pencil, I knew that fine art was my calling. 3. […]
I have been feeling rather cozy lately. Dreaming of moments where I might be able to catch a long warm bath, or sleep in beyond a reasonable hour. Such is not life currently! We have been exceptionally busy! As a matter of fact, both Joey and I had to work all day Sunday! So in the spirit of dreaming of that relaxing day to come, I pulled some of my favorites from my archive to share with you. Sadly, I have no idea where these images came from! I read 100’s of blogs and home magazines, and can’t for the […]
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Cryo-Cell International. All opinions are 100% mine. Sometimes you can feel like there is nothing you can do when something bad happens close to home, or better yer, far away. For you moms out there, you know this is just thrown away. If you preserve the cord blood, you […]
Joey and I got married twice. Most of our friends and family don’t know this! Our wedding was in Jamaica, but a few months before we ran off to Vegas with a handful of family and friends and got married a la Elvis. We did this to make sure all of our paperwork was legal and American. One year ago today was that faithful day. We accomplished a lot in our year! We adopted our second son, I mean, dog, Porkchop VanderSandwich. We bought a house kind of unexpectedly. I started a new company, also unexpected. Joey went platinum, […]

As you have probably gathered by now, Joey and I are from a much warmer climate than New York. 80 degree days were the norm, and seasons tended to kind of do a mash up. Maybe a brisk two weeks would happen during Winter, or we would turn the air conditioning on extra cool for the Summers, but for the most part, temperature was constant. Now that we have a combined living of 17 years in New York, you would think we would be use to the seasons, but no. We aren’t. Not even close. One thing we have done […]
