Color Hunting

Hello! How has the week been treating you? We have about 20 projects in motion at the same time. We are taking advantage of this above freezing winter as best we can. Lots of time has been dedicated to painting, and picking paint colors….Not only has it been hectic in our own house, but you can read all about the big ‘ol Lake House project I am working on with Emily Henderson right here. Emily just picked out the perfect paint pallet for the upstairs of this amazing Lake House and it got me thinking, how does one pick a

Kitchen Dreaming

Happy Monday! Our kitchen is almost done for the temporary 5 year fix we have agreed to do before a big ‘ol reno. The first thing we did was lay down some Ikea floors.  We put them down about a year and a half ago and they have held up pretty great so far! We painted everything white, then painted again when we quickly learned a kitchen is no place for matte white paint. Joey redid all the cabinets after we got a $10K+ quote to refinish them. DIY Wooden Lamp Base with the Beatiful Emily of Merrypad!

Hi Friends! It’s been busy. You know the story! Our friend Emily from Merrypad did an awesome job on transforming some reclaimed wood into lamp bases and making DIY paper shades! You know how we love a good wood lamp base! Give her a nice warm welcome, and don’t forget to check out her site. The girl has mad DIY skills. Hey friends of Joey & Lana! Happy to have been invited to play whilst miss Lana’s away (at NYIGF, lucky girl). Hope you enjoy this little tutorial (it’s one of my favorite pieces).   In my cozy real-life merry pad,

I got me some horses, some horses, to ride on….

I love me some Tori Amos. And some horses. Yay! Today, Kirsten from Simply Grove is sharing some eye candy, and I love me some Grove too. Get your haaaaaay on…..and welsome Kirsten! When I was a young girl, I had a love/hate relationship with horses.  A part of me wanted to become best friends with them and other parts of me trembled at the sight of horses.  Of course I had to get bucked off of a gorgeous white horse when I was 6 yrs old.  That didn’t help the situation.  But no matter how I personally feel about
