Adventure 6 / Houston, Texas

New here? Check out our about us! Length of stay: Eight Nights Accommodations: At the In-Law’s Hello friends. We have just returned from a three week road trip adventure, and boy did we learn some lessons! This was way more difficult than our Portugal/Zurich/London adventure a few months back – simply because so many unplanned events happened. That’s another post for another time though. This post I am excited to share because I have been to Houston more times the I can count, and this is the first time we actually decided to write about it! Joey was born and raised

Adventure 4 // Lisbon, Portugal (Part 1)

New here? Check out our about us! Length of stay: Five nights + 2 nights Accommodations: H10 Duque de Loule Hunker down friend, I have over 1,300 words about Lisbon for you, and this is only part 1. Our first peek-in-post after 2 weeks away + two weeks with a household of flu + three rounds of out-of-town guests was bound to be long, but the excitement of Lisbon took hold, so I am going to break it down into two (maybe three) posts because we haven’t caught up since last year. 2017 was such a mixed bag for so many

Adventure 3 // Legoland Florida

Length of stay: One Night Accommodations: Legoland Beach Retreat Length of stay: One Night Accommodations: Legoland Beach Retreat After being in Florida for a few months, we realized what a great place it is to explore both close to home and for a good ‘ol weekend-get-away. We have poked north and south, and there is so much more available now than when I was even a kid. One of new and exciting places that’s east to get to and not-so-overwhelming is Legoland. If you follow us on instagram, you know this isn’t our first trip to brick city. On the

adventure 2 // atlanta, ga

Length of stay: Two Night Accommodations: Airbnb Atlanta has always been a lunch or dinner stop on the way to Florida. When we lived in NYC, we usually timed our drive down to South Florida, with at least one vegan stop for me along the way. Atlanta has always come through for food, and then we were off. Since living in Nashville, we do the same exact thing. Lunch, and then bounce. Every time we say, “hey, we should really explore Atlanta”, and finally we did. We planned our Atlanta trip around Market for my kid’s shop. We decided to

We decided to move to Florida

I’ll give you the long and the short of it. I guess it depends how curious you are; if you’ll read it all. In short, it’s true, and something I said I would never, ever do. I insisted it’s a horrid place to raise a family and that a place with no seasons, has no soul. We are moving south of the south, to Boca Raton, Fl. It wasn’t even a long discussion for us to land on “Yes, let’s move to Florida for a while”. I honestly think we are exhausted by winter. Nashville has been nice. We have met

If you feel like shopping, a good place to start is The Paris Market. It's smaller than I thought it would be, but has a really well curated selection of gifts, and even a tiny cafe. Don't forget to pop downstairs, there are even more home goods. The whole strip is walkable and cute.

adventure 1 // savannah, ga

Length of stay: Two Night Accommodations: The Brice Travel Time: via Nashville 7 hours 10 minutes Have you ever wanted to go someplace but were so scared the expectation wouldn’t quite line up with the reality of being there? I have put off a Savannah trip for so many years. Maybe like, 20 years. When I was about 16, I was addicted to road trips. I would drive anywhere and everywhere for a good show. From sweaty punk rock basement venues, to living rooms, to huge festivals – I was there, no matter the distance. Something in me loves the control
