Finished Stencil + Giveaway Time!

****give away is closed. winner is picked. thank you for chekcing out Cutting Edge Stencils!****

Happy Friday lovelies! We are super excited to report the wall is looking quite fab, and makes us smile every time we look at it! We know it’s a little bold and modern, but it just works so well in our otherwise boring (at the moment!) master bedroom. A few of you asked about the paint decisions, and here is what we got to share.

We did the stenciling in a semi-gloss and the other three walls we are going to do in an eggshell. We tested to make sure it wouldn’t look shiny on one wall and then matte on the other – and it doesn’t. I don’t really love glossy walls, but something told me that if we didn’t at least semi-gloss that stencil wall, cleaning it would be a nightmare and I may just rub the stencil right off. Call me paranoid, but that’s why I decided to give it a little gloss. Ready for total stencil bliss?…

We are excited to do another room, that’s for sure. If you check out the “New Stencil Designs” you can see what we are drooling over right now!

  2. Ooooh! Enter me, enter me! I love how your wall turned out…so stunning! I think I'd pick the same stencil.

  3. Jen says:

I fanned Cutting Edge Stencils on Facebook!

    Thanks again!

  4. leah peck says:

I am totally in love with the Casablanca or Moroccan stencils, and ever since I saw someone paint a drop cloth for a rug, I have been hankering to try it, so yeah, that's probably exactly what I would do.

  5. Wow, I am loving your wall! I'd like to try the Romance Wall Pattern Kit – I think it would be a bit tedious but well worth the final result. Thanks for sharing your room and for such a great giveaway!

  6. hi guys – hope the house making is going well. Just featured you in a recent post –

  7. McCaulie says:

Oh, thanks for the heads up!! For me it's a really tough choice between the Brocade No. 1 stencil, the Damasque stencil or the Paisley wall art stencil…. Oh such a hard choice!! I know I'd want it to do as an accent wall in our bedroom so I'd have to get my hubs by off as well 🙂

  8. tough choice, but i think i like the aladdin stencil. might use it for an entry way or bathroom. thanks!

  9. Looks gorgeous Lana, I love Cutting Edge Stencils!!!!! Can't wait to see how you finish the space!

  10. rae says:

i reallly love the zinnia grande stencil in the wall art section, and i really love the damask rose. it would be so very hard to choose!

  11. rae says:

    i also fanned on facebook!

  12. candidkoosh says:

I want one of the brocade stencils, I have a partial wall that isnt hidden by a built in where the tv is resting so now I want to put something behind its cuz its sorta blah right now.

  13. McCaulie says:

I also became a fan on fb 🙂

  14. Gloria says:

I would love the Casablanca stencil. My daughter's room has a wide navy blue stripe on the wall and I want to change it up by adding a stencil to it!

  15. Jessica says:

The "birch forest" stencil for a wall in my bedroom.

  16. OMG you guys did such a terrific job! Love it, love it, love it!!! And those tricky walls didn't deter you… Great job, I am so impressed!

  18. Cassandra says:

I am a fan on facebook also!

  19. Aimee says:

Oh wow, ALL of their stencils are gorgeous! I'm going to go with the zinnias as my first choice, to use in my knew craft room when we move. Beautiful!

  20. Carla says:

So many fantastic options – and I love the one you picked but I would with the Sycamore Branches Stencils for my bedroom walls. They are blood red ( which i love) but i have been looking for something organic to break up all the color on one of the walls.

  21. Christine says:

I love the Casablanca stencil! I would use it on the wall behind our bed.

  22. Anita T. says:

I love the Freedom! Wall stencil! I would use it in our living room.

  23. emily says:

you guys did a beautiful job! is this the rabat stencil? i've had my eye on the rabat stencil for quite some time. we have wide vertical stripes on a feature wall in our bedroom, but i think it's time to switch it up for something more subtle, like the rabat stencil! (i also became a fan of cutting edge on facebook)

  24. Katie says:

Great contest! I'm anxious to win—cause I've got a room in horrible shape that I'm looking to decorate with the Moroccan Dream Stencil–I think (still narrowing it down from four options 🙂

  25. L says:

I'd get the zinnia stencil for my bathroom

  26. Erin says:

I LOVE the Casablanca stencil and would use it on the wall behind the TV in our livingroom. Thanks!

  27. Emilee K. says:

I have been wanting the Casablanca stencil forever to stencil behind my computer desk and in my dtr's room!

  28. Emilee K. says:

Fan of Cutting edge on FB!

  29. Whoa! I completely thought this was wallpaper at first. You guys did such a professional job…very impressed and love the color choices. I'm just starting on a nursery and these would be perfect but I'll have to wait a few more weeks until we know the gender to choose a style!

  30. Margo K says:

I'm loving the "Rabat Allover Lg Scale". I would use in my entry hall. Thanks for such a generous giveaway!

  31. tbg says:

dahlia and scallop would be lovely on the ceiling of my closet.

great blog by the way – just found it 🙂

Baby Girl is only 3 weeks away, and I would love to stencil her "baby cubby" in our bedroom with Damask Gabrielle! xo

  33. Brienne says:

You did a terrific job. I would love to use Weeping Cherry stencil in a nursery but since that won't happen before our bathroom remodel, I want to get the Casablanca stencil for that.

  34. Karen says:

I would love the Zagora stencil for the wall in my bedroom behind my headboard. The wall's a sexy gray and would look amazing with a pop of yellow or some other punch color!

  35. Mallory says:

    Love the Zagora Allover Stencil!

  36. Lindsay Naumann says:

I will be using the Damask/Allover stencil (the Zagora). I just bought it yesterday. Can't wait for it to arrive on my front porch. I think I'm going to do an accent wall in my dining room which is the main wall you see when entering my home. Grey background with a silver metallic paint as the lines!! Pumped!

  37. Maria says:

EEEK omg I love these! There are so many I love, but I think my favorite is the Mermaid Allover Stencil. I know exactly where I'd use it!

  38. angie says:

what is the color of grey on your stencil walls? Looks amazing!!

  39. […] If you remember, back in the day we (and by we, I mean Joey) painted this Stencil from Cutting Edge Stencil, and it just turned out so perfect. This wall still makes me happy every day, and I never second guess it. Mark that down as a win people. I think the whole wall (stencil, paint, tools) cost about $75. Yes it took hours and was annoying to do, but good doesn’t come easy. […]
