The Craziest Year Yet : A Review

I realized a few weeks ago that I have an addiction. I think I have narrowed down the totally compulsive, addictive items and separated them from the I-enjoy-and-like these items. It started with chairs. I could buy up chairs, hunt down chairs, and reupholster chairs all day long. I love huge chairs and tiny chairs and have even inflicted my addition on to Atlas with a  70’s beach lounge chair, and a few vintage rattan goodies.

Something even more addicting, and even easier to get that fuzzy fulfilled feeling from, is ceramics and pottery. It’s usually pretty easy to tote around, and the weirder the better. Pottery is way easier to store, and you don’t need to manage delivery, so naturally when I noticed my unintentional collection growing, I was excited about the ease. Also, shipping a planter is way cheaper than shipping a chair. For example….making a house a home I man planter I happilycuratedchaos.com

I found this guy which Atlas lovingly refers to as “DaDa!”, and I have to agree. It’s carved around the eyes, which makes it really shallow as a planter, but man does it look like my man, and I had to have it. $15 later, I had a huge grin on my face and this ugly vintage beauty residing in my living room.

These pieces are a bit easier to snag, though I have been fighting something fierce to snag me a boogie planter before they sell out.

One really special girl (Amber Eyes) I found I decided to carry at Rich Hippies because I am just really attracted to her work and hope East Nashville will feel the same way.

“Dada” is so cool! There are three chairs in varying stages of re-upholstery in my kitchen as I type. 3 more (being made into one of those funky 3 chair benches) are in my basement. Does it stop when all room are decorated and done?? What, oh what is a boogie planter?
