If you feel like shopping, a good place to start is The Paris Market. It's smaller than I thought it would be, but has a really well curated selection of gifts, and even a tiny cafe. Don't forget to pop downstairs, there are even more home goods. The whole strip is walkable and cute.

We got it locked down

Tracking PixelWe hope you all had a great long weekend. Lucky for us, we got to take some looming items on our to-do list, and it feels so good to have one of the big one’s done! It’s always kismet when a brand reaches out for a partnership at the exact moment we have added an item to the the big-to-do. This time Scalage® came to the rescue with something way better than we even new was available. A very high tech lock, with more bells a whistle we thought possible.

It’s been driving us mad to connect with our cleaning lady about dropping keys. She cleans not only our home but our airbnb’s and uses the laundry room in our house, which happens to have a door to the back yard. We aren’t really OK with the idea of giving a set of keys to our home to anyone (not that she would do anything funny). You never know if someone will lose them into the wrong hands is mostly our fear. We do this little key-switch-dance multiple times a week so our guests are guaranteed fresh sheets and towels and our cleaning lady can do her job effectively, despite our schedule.

Enter our solution: Schlage Connect

There were lots of models and finishes to chose from in the Schlage Connect™ collection. We went with the satin nickel finish to stay most aligned with our kitchen decisions being the laundry room is right next to it. It has an alarm and Z-wave, which was a really nice surprise when were were looking into them. We have really enjoyed being able to share access to our home (while still having control) on those busier days with hardware that looks and feels as good as our new set up. So, why is this lock so fancy and different? Depending how deep you want to get with technology and your door. The Schlage Sense™ system is designed to work with Apple HomeKit technology, meaning you can use the touch pad or your iPhone or Siri, which is pretty swanky and convienient. It even works if you are wearing gloves, which is also good news to those of you with frozen fingers (I remember how bad NYC would get in February!).

The bad news is now our laundry room back door hardware is now way nicer than our front door! The good news os that they are easy to find on Amazon and Home Depot, amongst many there convent places.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Schlage®.

I have tried a number of app locks in playstore, but so far LEO Privacy is the best I have tried. You don’t need to lock your phone first to activate it. Once you get out of that app, it locks. And after trying a number of times, it hasn’t failed me yet. https://goo.gl/BCKwGq
