Adventure 19 // Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen, Denmark
When I promise you this place is magic, you have to believe me. Growing up in South Florida, I had my fair share of theme parks sprinkled through each year of childhood. I was there when Universal Studios was erected, Epcot became more exciting, and Disney created all it’s spin off attractions. Having a kid has certainly expanded my amusement park goings as well. Dino World, check. Diggerland, been there. Legoland, more times than I can count in both Florida and England. Disney, over and over. Universal Studios to celebrate Atlas turning six was maybe my 10th time. We even explore the smaller places and fairs for a tiny thrill.
As a kid with sensory processing disorder who loves a good spin, or sometimes just the feeling of weightlessness, we are always open to see what new place have to offer his sensory needs. With all the fore mentioned, Tivoli is far better than any experience I have ever had at an amusement park.
Imagine the feeling of a luxury country club, married with a beautiful garden, endless high end dining options, and tasteful amusement rides. If it were a country club, this would be the one I wanted to join. Even the gift shops were amazing. The food was delicious. The rides were fun. There were no lines, it was clean, and the staff was super friendly. The bathrooms were even clean, well designed, and fully stocked. It’s wildly vegan friendly too!
I can really go on and on about what a wonderful time we had, but you should watched the video and see how amazing this place is for yourselves! I do need to point out that even though there are a ton of heart thumping and exciting rides, I feel most in love with the Hans Christian Anderson ride that walked you through some of the stories. It was so well done and beautiful!
We did the one adult to ride with one child pass + one entrance with no unlimited rides and it cost about $125. I thought that was crazy expensive before I knew what was behind those gates. It’s so worth it!
Happy travels,
Lana
